SFU bike route to get almost $10M in upgrades

Good news for UniverCity bike riders. Upgrades to the bike route which connects SFU westward to Vancouver are expected to begin next year.

Burnaby NOW published two recent stories on Burnaby's plans to improve its bike path network.

The stretch from SFU down Burnaby Mountain Parkway to Vancouver received federal funding earlier this month and construction is expected to start next year.

Another article describes how the City's phase 1 plan also includes improvements from SFU down Gaglardi to Loughheed. Although the Gaglardi upgrades don't have funding yet, it's good to see that they are a high priority for the city.
